Small Threads
We are always searching for ‘small threads’ to bring schemes together, the designs in this collection have come from many different inspirations. From plates in the Victoria & Albert Museum and The Met to a set of old printing block’s sited in a French Market, made of a wooden base with the designs being formed by tiny nails and gouged out wood. In the Mandalay monasteries mirrored columns made so long ago, the designs appear in todays modern geometrics. And visiting the age-old weaving mills in Burma we found wonderful simple designs woven with speed and deft hands.
